Plan international Egypt implements programmes designed to enable communities to improve the lives of the most marginalised children and their families. Through a five-interconnected, gender transformative and context-fit country objectives, PIE intends along with the various stakeholders at all levels to continue delivering positive and transformative changes so that “Children, especially girls, and young people grow up in an enabling environment, realizing their rights and contributing in both development and humanitarian settings as active agents of change”.
Driven by the overall purpose of PII and anchored on Plan International core values, bolder commitment to gender transformation and feminist leadership, program quality and influencing and a more vibrant and efficient operating model.
ROLE PURPOSE
The purpose of the role is to follow up and monitor the project at the PU level (Cairo), while ensuring a seamless integration and quality of deliverables in line with the Country Strategy. The post holder will design, implement, monitor and report on progress of project activities in line with detailed implementation plan. He/she will work with various stakeholders and partners.

Enhancing economic stability and social cohesion between refugees and host communities in Egypt to promote long term conflict prevention and local peacebuilding

**Main Outcome**:
Enhanced livelihoods and social cohesion among refugees and host communities in low-income areas.
Specific Output 1. Professional competencies and qualifications of youth beneficiaries
improved
Specific Output 2. Self-reliance and long-term resilience strengthened through
entrepreneurship promotion
Specific Output 3. Sustainable community support provided through social and
economic safety networks and strengthened local administrative institutions
Specific Output 4. Access to nutrition services of Pregnant and Lactating Women
(PLW) improved among refugees with children under two years of age.

SCOPE

Under the overall guidance and supervision of the project coordinator, the Project Assistant is tasked with the overall programmatic supervision of the project with partners in terms of coordination and implementation, provision of support to the monitoring and evaluation of the project interventions.

Internal
Area team members and project’s team to coordinate on major decisions related to project implementation
Regular contact with the project M&E Coordinator to ensure M&E actions are carried on with the needed technical inputs.
Project Coordinator based in Alex to coordinate the implementation and monitoring of project activities in the respective locations.

Partners and beneficiaries in Cairo to assess progress and agree on the appropriated mitigation measures.
