**ABOUT THE ROLE**

The Credit Controller is responsible for overseeing the collection of customer accounts in a manner that ensures high customer satisfaction and loyalty. This role involves developing and implementing procedures and policies to ensure timely payments while maintaining a high level of customer retention. The Credit Controller will also handle complex accounts escalated from the Accounts Receivable team, monitor debtor balances to reduce debtors' Days Sales Outstanding, and ensure that credit and collection policies and procedures are followed within the team. Effective communication with customers and internal personnel, such as the sales team, is crucial for success in this role.

The Credit Controller shall be responsible for the overall financial reporting, operations and controlling of the group. This shall include:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Policy Development**: Develop and implement procedures and policies to facilitate timely payments while maintaining a high level of customer retention.
- **Account Reconciliation**: Reconcile complex accounts that have been escalated from the AR team, ensuring accuracy and resolution of outstanding issues.
- **DSO Monitoring**: Continuously monitor debtor balances to proactively reduce debtors' DSO and minimize outstanding balances.
- **Policy Compliance**: Ensure that credit and collection policies and procedures are consistently followed within the Credit Controller team.
- **Communication**: Maintain efficient and friendly communication with customers to facilitate timely payments, as well as collaborate with internal personnel, including the sales team, to address customer concerns.

**Requirements**:
ABOUT YOU

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related business field.
- At least five years of experience in accounts receivable and/or credit control.
- Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Demonstrated business acumen for effective problem-solving.
- Competency with large ERP systems for efficient account management.
- Confidence to interact with a range of stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks within a demanding workload.
