We are seeking an experienced and talented Senior Technical Writer to join our team as the Confluence Workspace Manager. As the Senior Technical Writer, you will play a crucial role in organizing and managing our Confluence knowledge base to ensure it remains a central hub of accurate and up-to-date technical documentation. Your expertise in technical writing, information architecture, and content management will be instrumental in fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and process improvement within our organization.

**Responsibilities**
- Content Management: Oversee the organization, structure, and accessibility of information within our Confluence workspace. Ensure that technical documentation is well-categorized, easy to navigate, and adheres to established style and formatting guidelines.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough reviews and audits of existing documentation to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to industry standards. Implement best practices for maintaining a high standard of quality in all documentation.
- Content Governance: Establish and enforce content governance policies and guidelines to manage version control, review cycles, and content expiration. Ensure that outdated or redundant content is promptly archived or updated.
- Knowledge Sharing Advocacy: Promote the use of Confluence as the primary knowledge-sharing platform within the organization. Develop training materials and conduct workshops to encourage team members to contribute to and benefit from the knowledge base.
- User Support: Provide guidance and support to team members on best practices for creating and maintaining documentation in Confluence. Address technical writing-related queries and offer solutions to improve content clarity and usability.
- Documentation Templates: Develop standardized documentation templates to streamline the content creation process and maintain consistency across various technical documents.
- Content Search Optimization: Optimize the Confluence search functionality to ensure relevant and accurate information retrieval for users, minimizing redundancies and improving overall search experience.
- Documentation Metrics: Track and analyze metrics related to the usage and effectiveness of the Confluence workspace. Use data insights to identify areas for improvement and propose solutions to enhance content discoverability.
- Stay Abreast of Industry Trends: Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and innovations in technical writing, content management, and documentation tools. Continuously seek opportunities to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our documentation practices.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in technical writing, content management, or information architecture, preferably in a software development or technology-focused environment.
- Strong proficiency in using Confluence or similar documentation and collaboration tools.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail and clarity.
- Demonstrated ability to organize complex technical information into coherent and user-friendly documentation.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and SMEs to gather information and create accurate technical documentation.
- Proficiency in using markdown or other markup languages for documentation.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative authoring workflows.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
- A proactive and collaborative attitude with a passion for knowledge sharing and documentation best practices.
- Knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile) is a plus.
- Portfolio or samples of previous technical writing projects.
