Dedicated to one of the fastest growing customer segments, the Small, Medium, Corporate (SMC) and Digital Sales organization is on pace to be Microsoft's next $100 billion-dollar business - this is where you come in.
**The Microsoft Cairo Site Leader** serves as the company’s external ambassador for the region and internal leader across the site. They are seen locally as a face and voice of the company for the region and are a key individual representing Microsoft in the region. They connect with the community and connect internally evangelizing Microsoft’s culture while collaborating with stakeholders on impactful projects.
**Responsibilities**:
**This role is responsible for the following**:
- Work closely with all the teams across Microsoft to assist in recruiting, team morale, career development, and community engagement.
- Partners with the leadership team to develop and execute planning processes. and other strategic business planning activities. Reviews adherence to privacy and compliance.
- Accountable for Site Operations by partnering with the Global Workplace Services teams to ensure the site has a great working environment for everyone on site.
- In addition, they partner to ensure the safety and security of the team members and site. This includes but is not limited to being a member of the local crisis management team, inclement weather response management, partnerships with local response teams, and sheltering agreements.
- Partnering with Communications on Public Relations.
- Partnering and collaborating with Microsoft Corporate External and Legal Affairs (CELA) to broaden and deepen government relationships at the local, state, and federal level.
- Continual development and refinement of the Cairo messaging and value proposition is a key initiative of the Site Leader, they are the internal ambassador for the Cairo site
- Involved in developing, managing and allocating a regional budget, including annual planning, site rhythm of the business
- Oversee site operations including development of cross site processes and programs including but not limited to, partner & customer engagement, employee engagement, GIVE, & STEM etc.
- Design and deliver on site and in the community, initiatives based on principles of diversity, anti-racism, equity, and inclusion. This includes the support and partnership with the local ERG Chapters.
- Foster, drive, and promote the company’s contributions to the local community through public speaking, social media, marketing, and other communications efforts.
**Extending the Leader**
- Leverages knowledge of the leader's goals and approach to ensure team activities are aligned with the leader's objectives. Supports the leader in communicating key goals, priorities, and definitions. Maximizes a culture to support and represent the leader and team. Informs tactical and strategic business decisions for the leader. Supports the landing of organizational changes.
**Organizational Health**
- Monitors team health and supports the leader in responding to team culture issues, as well as promoting culture initiatives (e.g., Diversity and Inclusion [D&I], hiring, onboarding).
**Qualifications**:
**Required/Minimum Qualifications**
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND long term demonstrated experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles
- OR equivalent experience.
**Additional or Preferred Qualifications**
- People management experience.
- Desire to work in a competitive environment where one’s growth potential is driven by one’s abilities and attitude.
- Experience working in a large Technology company preferred
- Strong focus and empathy for the community along with an extraordinary passion for making an impact.
- Proven effectiveness driving multi-stakeholder planning processes and cross-team projects to desired results.
- Works effectively with people at all levels of an organization.
- Strong people skills including ability to build trust, influence, and relationships with diverse people and groups.
- Experience in strategic program design, program management, and/or project management
- Highly initiative taking with a drive, initiative, and capacity for hard work.
- Creative thinker and analytical person with a bias towards thoughtful action
- Excellent communication skills: the ability to distil information into concise communication materials, ability to tailor language and detail to the audience, and use of multiple communication mediums to distribute information.
