**COMPANY DESCRIPTION**
- *
Amideast Egypt seeks a curriculum developer for the English Conversation Program. The conversation topics integrate authentic material which caters to effective language acquisition and production. Participants are introduced to language which is relevant and not isolated from culture. Participants confidence and motivation is developed through customized feedback and support while their ability to produce effective language is assessed.
The conversation curriculum developer will develop interactive and engaging content for different English conversation courses. S/he will also prepare standardized curriculum manuals (participants’ guide and trainers’ guide), assessment plan, handouts, and instructional PowerPoint.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
Tasks and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Conduct research and collect data to prepare needed content, material, and resources for different courses
- Ensure the logical sequencing for technical content, material, and resources
- Outline the objectives to be reached per session
- Ensure the content, material and resources prepared are supported by references
- Prepare standardized curriculum manuals (participants’ guide and trainers’ guide), Assessment plan, handouts, and instructional PowerPoint for different courses
- Ensure that the curriculum manuals, handouts, instructional PowerPoint developed are supported by references and resources
- Include interactive activities using video, case studies, gamificationetc.
- Share each module with Amideast for feedback and editing
- Develop the TOT for the instructors delivering the course
- Conduct two training/ orientation sessions per curriculum created to instructors delivering the course
**Deliverables**
- Curriculum framework to be presented and approved by Amideast before working on it
- Trainers’ guide with full resources, references with further readings and citations
- Participants’ guide fully edited, signed, and approved by Amideast
- Instructional PowerPoint to be used in class
- Handouts/movies downloaded/ games with proper patent approvals
- Instructions per session to admin team on resources needed for the sessions in addition to all printable and supplementary materials
- Full assessment plan and tools
- TOT for instructors delivering the courses
Two drafts and a final submission to be shared and approved by Amideast focal point. The final draft is submitted after
**Qualifications and Skills**
**_Required_**
- Bachelor’s Degree in education or related field; Master’s degree in education or related field preferred
- Experience in analyzing data and using results to modify the developed curriculum
- Experience in developing standardized curriculum manuals, handouts, instructional PowerPoint across different courses
- Strong understanding of different language learning pedagogies and how to implement them
- Significant experience with instructional best practices
- Knowledge of techniques for facilitating groups of learners
- Ability to plan, model, coach and provide feedback to individual teachers and teams of teachers to improve teaching
- Experience implementing effective instructional practices
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
