We are based in the clean and secure environment of Madinaty City which is located to the east of Cairo - very convenient for Shorouk, Rehab, Nasr City and Heliopolis.

The British system has been available in Egypt for many years and its traditional, structured and disciplined approach is well-understood by many parents. In recent years the curriculum has been widened to add an international dimension so that children following the curriculum will gain a deeper understanding of other cultures.

The key features of the British Curriculum which make it so suitable for schools outside of the UK still remain as always;
- The curriculum is taught in English
- There is always an emphasis on understanding and questioning as well as just knowing
- Social skills are an integral part of the curriculum
- There is regular externally verified testing to give a reliable measure of progress
- IGCSE and A level examinations at the end of the process are internationally accepted for entry to universities all over the world

Role**:

- Assist in the educational and social development of pupils under the direction and guidance of the Head of Department.
- Responsible for implementing the strategic development of SEN policy and provision in the school.
- Have day-to-day responsibility for the coordination of SEN provision to support individual pupils.
- Responsible for maintaining student records and LDD data under the direction and guidance of the Head of Department.
- Responsible for updating and maintaining organized hard and soft copies of all relevant LDD data (office filing cabinets and OneDrive LDD Folder).
- Organizing and updating individual student folders and SEND school register under the direction and guidance of the Head of Department.
- Managing LDD room and LDD staff and team schedules and updating them on the OneDrive LDD Folder.
- Attending meetings with Head of Department as needed and keeping minutes.
- Following up and collaborating with stakeholders (parents, teachers, senior and middle leadership teams, external service providers, etc.) and keeping records of communication.
- In addition to their regular responsibilities, the Assistant HOI may also assume the role of Acting Head in the absence of the HOI.

**Additional to their role as LDD Teacher.**

**The successful applicant will have**:

- Bachelor’s degree from an institution recognized by the Ministry of Education in a related field (Education, Special Education, or Psychology) is preferred.
- A special education certification or working towards the certification is preferred.
- Relevant experience and knowledge in supporting students with special educational needs.
- Understanding of SEN legislation, policies, and best practices.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing documentation and administrative tasks.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to promoting inclusive education and supporting the well-being of students with SEN.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with relevant software and databases.
