**COMPANY DESCRIPTION**:
:
Amideast Egypt seeks a LEGO Thinking and Robotics instructor for the STEAM Day Camp. The goal of the camp is to provide to provide junior students with the opportunity to engage in hands-on activities, so they gain valuable 21st century skills which include but are not limited to critical thinking, problem solving, communication, collaboration, creativity, and innovation.
The LEGO & Robotics instructor will be responsible for delivery of the LEGO Thinking & Robotics curriculum to different groups of students aged 8-13
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Understand and deliver the developed LEGO and Robotics curriculum manuals (participants’ guide and trainers’ guide), handouts, and instructional PowerPoint
- Attend and participate in the training/ orientation sessions conducted by the content developer
- Actively prepare for class and interact with the students in a positive and upbeat manner
- Plan and share supplemental materials needed to enhance courses delivery with the content developer
- Follow the designated instructional plan and schedule for the course
- Complete and submit administrative tasks, such as course logs, timesheets, class surveys, and attendance, in accordance with the course timeline set by the content developer
- Maintain accurate and up to date attendance records for all classes
- Correct homework, exams, projects, and any other assignments in accordance with the course timeline set by the content developer
- Lead classroom instruction and discussion according to the instructors’ guide and the participants’ guide prepared by the content developer
- Assess student progress and achievement through appropriate, varied assessments means; notifying the STEM center lead when a student is in jeopardy of not passing a course
- Keep the STEM center lead informed of issues related to students and courses that need to be resolved
- Provide feedback to the content developer regarding the developed curriculum manuals (participants’ guide and trainers’ guide), handouts, and instructional PowerPoint
- Organize and archive all material related to the curriculum and final evaluations during the wrap-up period of the program
**DELIVERABLES**:
- Class preparation according to the developed curriculum manuals, handouts, and instructional PowerPoint
- Supplemental material needed to enhance courses delivery
- Submission of course logs, timesheets, class surveys, and attendance, in accordance with the course timeline set by the content developer
- Accurate and up to date attendance records for all classes
- Correction of homework, exams, projects, and any other assignments in accordance with the course timeline set by the content developer.
- Written feedback regarding the developed curriculum manuals, handouts, and instructional PowerPoint
- Organization of all material related to the curriculum and final evaluations during the wrap-up period of the program
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in the STEM field; Master’s degree in education or related STEM field preferred
- 1.5 years’ minimum classroom teaching experience
- Extensive knowledge of the field of Environmental Engineering teaching
- Fluent English proficiency
- Ability to adapt to a new culture and learner needs within a different context
- Ability and willingness to adapt to a variety of audiences - children and adults
- Ability to work in a team and contribute to overall STEM Center program success
- Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills
- Punctuality and timeliness in record keeping
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to create a productive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
