**What you'll be doing**

At Chalhoub, we share leading brands with the world. As Category Management Director you will leads a team of category managers towards driving negotiations and pricing/purchasing strategies.
- Takes ownership of gross margins & drives an optimal category mix to influence growth
- Defines the organizations business model & competitive position for internal & external stakeholders
- Plays a key role in formulating & driving Joint business plans with key suppliers to drive profitability and growth
- Successfully negotiates / mentors in negotiating for win-win partnerships to grow the organizations market share & mind share with suppliers
- Interprets business risks and potential threats to business, and works to mitigate them
- Analyses and helps interpret trends pertaining to market, competitors, customers & partners and uses insights to drive initiatives for growth
- Assists in building a competitive assortment keeping in mind market and competition trends
- Plays a role in ensuring optimal space productivity and brand placements in stores via planogramming
- Works closely with internal functions like supply chain for inventory management & managing the buying budget, marketing for the promotional calendar and sales operations for driving key initiatives / novelties
- Drives team to maximize additional income for the organization through initiatives like space selling (animation)
- Ensures that the commercial teams drive new launches, new categories or new brands/ initiatives successfully
- Mentors the team on all major strategic sales planning functions, issues and considerations.
- Influences organization-wide or high-impact decisions / initiatives
- Addresses commercial escalations both internal and external
- Plays a role in building assortment and pricing strategy of ecommerce in line with competition to drive omni channel retailing
- Motivates, guides and mentors the commercial team to drive effective and profitable commercial decisions for the company

**What you'll need to **succeed**
- Masters in Business Administration
- 15 years of experience in Retail & category Management
