Summary


We are looking for a graphic design intern with a strategic mind, creative soul, and passion for storytelling. This person will be using the Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Canva, Veed.io, and other design tools as they help us bring our ideas to life. Attention to detail and the ability to manage several projects is needed to thrive in this role. Senior creative staff will establish your project scope and set deadlines for each piece; managers will review your work and suggest edits before final publication. Your goal will be to create cohesive pieces that promote our products and services to a broad public audience.


The Graphic Design Intern will report to the Marketing Manager. The Marketing Department aims to transform the customer experience by translating our brand promise to customers via data-driven intelligence and smart design.


The internship is a paid, part-time position requiring a commitment of 25 to 30 hours per week during the 12-week program. Our team operates in a hybrid remote/in-person structure with three days per week in the office. There is some flexibility into which days/times will be required in order to meet both the needs of the company and intern s schedule. Ability to work on-site at our Irving, TX location is a must due to the collaboration and communication amongst team members. Upon completion of the internship, there is an opportunity to continue working in a part or full time role.


Key Responsibilities:

Under supervision and supported by training, the Graphic Design Intern will be required to:


  • Manage and consistently update the brand s website and social media presence

  • Design graphics for various types of media, such as print ads, social media, websites, and more

  • Create social media visuals and content including text, graphics, photos and videos

  • Participate in design discussions and give feedback during planning and strategy meetings

  • Collaborate with the creative team to develop visual marketing strategies and campaigns

  • Communicate with internal clients to understand their needs and requirements

  • Develop and maintain the companys visual brand guidelines



Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Google workspace

  • Familiarity with design software and technologies (Adobe creative suite, Canva)

  • Comfortable working with people, taking direction, and contributing ideas

  • A keen eye for aesthetics and details

  • Demonstrated ability to capture a vision through visual creativity

  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment, able to multitask and meet tight deadlines

  • Familiarity with navigating social media

  • Willingness to travel when needed

Preferred Skills & Abilities:

  • General understanding of UI/UX principles

  • Basic video editing skills

  • Experience creating motion graphics or working work existing templates (ie, Envato Elements)

  • Experience photographing and editing people and products

Education and Experience:

  • Open to undergraduate and graduate students interested in a career in Marketing and Sales, UI/UX Design, or Graphic Design
