Job Description:

As a Public Relations Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and executing our PR strategy, building relationships with media and influencers, and crafting compelling narratives that showcase our brand. You will work closely with our marketing and leadership teams to create and implement campaigns that drive brand awareness and position [Your EdTech Startup Name] as a leader in the EdTech space.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute PR strategies that align with our company goals and brand values.Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, bloggers, and influencers in the education and technology sectors.Write and distribute press releases, pitch stories, and secure media coverage for product launches, company milestones, and other key announcements.Manage our social media presence, creating content that engages our audience and promotes our brand.Plan and execute events such as product launches, webinars, and conferences.Monitor industry trends, public sentiment, and competitor activities to inform PR strategies.Handle crisis communications and manage any negative publicity or issues that arise.Collaborate with the marketing team on integrated campaigns and content creation.Track and report on the effectiveness of PR campaigns using relevant metrics.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.3+ years of experience in public relations, preferably in the technology or education sectors.Proven track record of securing media coverage and building strong relationships with media and influencers.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling stories and messages.Strong understanding of social media platforms and how to leverage them for PR purposes.Experience in event planning and management.Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Creative thinker with a passion for education and technology.

Bonus Qualifications:

Experience in the EdTech industry.Existing relationships with media and influencers in the education or technology space.Familiarity with PR analytics tools and software.
