Paymaster - Waldorf Astoria Heliopolis


The Paymaster is responsible for the efficient operation of the department in all activities related to timely and accurate payroll processing, maintenance and control of the hotel's payroll process and related accounts.

This role assists in any other way deemed necessary for the efficient overall operation of the Finance Department.

The role will ensure a smooth operation of hotel's payroll process in full compliance with policies, regulatory and contractual framework.

The role will business partner with all hotel finance team members and a broad range of internal stakeholder, mainly Human Resources and all other departments.

The role will support the Finance Lead to develop best-in-class hotel Finance teams, including participation in all relevant Finance development and training programs.

What will I be doing?

Specifically, you will be responsbile of doing the following:

  • Ability to analyze large volume of complex financial information from many sources and create reports, forecasts, and projections
  • Strong problem solving skills, including ability to effectively address any issue in collaboration with others as appropriate
  • Ability to proactively identify and prevent potential problems
  • Ability to help develop problem solving skills among direct reports and other team members as appropriate
  • Ability to take initiative to identify, prioritize and implement all elements required for team to fulfill responsibilities
  • Detail oriented and organized
  • Ability to develop presentations and effectively present to all levels of company, hotels & owners.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills (all levels of management and external customers)
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word and Outlook with the ability to quickly learn new programs when required

What are we looking for?

  • Previous Hotels experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to deal effectively with all team members and employee representatives, tact and diplomacy and collect accurate information and resolve conflicts.
  • Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing in order to prepare official memorandum and correspondence as well as provide clear and meaningful instructions.
  • Basic mathematical skills necessary to analyze reports, forecast and prepare budgets.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, & PowerPoint.

Additional Preferences:
University degree in Accounting or Finance
