As Africa & Europe Communications Leader, you will be responsible for designing and executing a communications strategy for Baker Hughes in Africa & Europe supervising all internal, external, and commercial communications programs and brand activations for the region.

As Africa & Europe Communications Leader, you will be responsible for:

Developing and executing a comprehensive communication strategy for Africa & Europe aligned to company/region objectives.Counseling Africa & Europe leaders on contemporary communications techniques.Shaping thought leadership strategy in Africa & Europe by identifying relevant forums and speaking opportunities for company leadership.Leading proactive and reactive media relations for regional matters, working closely with external affairs HQ center of excellence. Serving as company spokesperson on regional matters and identify and train regional spokespeople.Supporting issues management and lead coordination of communications in times of crisis. Ensure crisis preparedness and programs are aligned with company policies on risk management.Driving storytelling for key commercial activities, such as industry partnerships and contract awards.Building calendar of activities aimed at customer audiences, including company participation in industry conferences and events, Baker Hughes proprietary events, and influencer forums.Driving execution in partnership with sales & commercial teams.Collaborating with business segment communications teams to drive a holistic Baker Hughes communications approach across initiatives.Leading events and communications projects across Africa & Europe.Embedding the voice of regional customers into Baker Hughes integrated communications; obtain customer testimonials/endorsements in partnership with sales teams, organize customer participation in proprietary events, surface opportunities for case study development, etc.Mobilizing cross-functional teams to deliver outcomes for the region and oversee tactical delivery of activities/campaigns in partnership with the communications HQ, product companies and commercial teams Acting as liaison with the Global Communications team and other relevant HQ departments and business segment communications teams to effectively cascade and customize communications campaigns.Localizing brand campaigns to the cater to the needs of the markets supported.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Bachelor's degree in a communications discipline from an accredited university or college.Minimum 6 years of experience in communications in an international environment.Fluent in written and spoken English and French, Arabic is a plus.Experience in advising and influencing senior executives.Have 360 communications experience (internal, external, commercial and crisis communications, preferably in a global organization).Strong writing and storytelling skills.Experience in event management and execution.Experience in developing marketing collaterals (brochures, videos, infographics⦠etc)Be able to multitask and lead complex project across the region.
