Director, MENA Network Strategy and Partnerships

Intro

Director, MENA Network Strategy and Partnerships is responsible for growing share of switched transactions and enrich them with our services in MENA division.

This role will maintain overall responsibility for driving business development efforts for the domestic switches and third-party processors and will work closely with the account teams, country managers, government relationship managers and Regional Lead of Network Solutions to identify opportunities and sell applicable solutions.

The individual applies deep knowledge of the card and account payment processing industry and leverages the global, integrated MasterCard products and platforms to grow revenues while meeting strategic objectives.

This is a customer-facing role, requiring business development skills in addition to product expertise, and reports to the Country General Manager MENA Central & East. The role is based out of Mastercard office in Cairo

**Responsibilities**:

- Grows revenue by identifying and pursuing partnership opportunities with new or existing domestic switches and third-party processors
- Support selling and deployment MA platforms to touch transactions from other rails by extending MA assets and services to domestic switches and TPPS, etc)
- Sets sales strategy aligned for the with geography and segment strategy
- Develops the sales pipeline, coordinating with product development and account management teams
- Prospects, contacts, and contracts new customers and business partners to improve market acceptance
- Plays a lead role in conversations with key decision makers for new or emerging product opportunities
- Provides input for long-term growth strategies to optimize mutual profitability across business lines
- Plays a key role in developing financial modeling and business cases for development opportunities
- Support nontraditional approaches for touching more transactions thru M&A / strategic partnership with key entities within the domestic switches and TPPs segments
- Executes and manages the customer contract agreement process
- Evaluates the deal process to deliver improvements
- Enhances ongoing business development relationships (e.g., government, regulators, industry bodies)

Experiences
- In-depth experience executing and managing business development strategies for large or complex countries/regions/industry verticals
- Track record in achieving business development targets and building customer relationships through customer sales
- Demonstrated success introducing existing and new/emerging solutions into various MasterCard countries/regions/industry verticals
