Summary: The Global Tax Operations Team is a component of the Global Operations Finance organisation.The Team is in charge to create and file CIT reports & returns, tax accounting, tax reconciliations and tax audits for Gas Power GE legal entities/divisions in META region
- Handles tax reporting and tax accounting processes including forecasting, tax provision, compliance, and settlement across META region
- Prepare/review income tax provisions and calculations, tax returns, tax payments, return to accrual calculations, deferred tax calculations and account reconciliations across META region
- Prepare annual return to accrual analysis across META region
- Examine and evaluate deferred tax and current tax payable balances in accordance with GE GAP and GE MAP
- Ensure correctness of the income tax calculations / returns by identifying potential errors, proposing and recording corrections for portion of the Income Tax process owned by Global Operations Tax
- Interact with cross-functional teams within the organization
- Support Income Tax audits work together with external service providers across META region

**Qualifications / Requirements**:

- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
- Prior experience within Tax Accounting, Tax Accounting Reconciliations and Tax Operations across META region
- Adequate tax accounting and tax experience across META countries
- Familiarity with current and deferred income tax accounting and tax compliance across META region
- Written and verbal fluency in English
- Strong analytical skills and fast learner
- Excellent communication skills
- Willing to share new information and knowledge within the teams

**Desired Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred
- Experience or exposure of oil & gas and/or power and/or energy is a plus
- Written and verbal fluency in French
- Written and verbal fluency in Arabic
