**How can you make a difference?**

The Health Officer reports** to the Health Specialist **for supervision. The Health Officer provides professional technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the programming process for the Health Programme within the Country Programme.

**Summary of key results**:

- The Post will be supporting programme development and planning by conducting & updating the situation analysis for the development, design and management of health-related programmes. And providing technical and operational support, Preparing all required documentations and materials to facilitate the programme review and approval process.
- The Post will be responsible for Programme management, monitoring and delivery of results with the Reporting on the achievements, Participate in monitoring and evaluation exercises, programme reviews and annual sectoral reviews with government and other counterparts.
- Monitor and report on the use of financial, administrative and other assets) as well as preparing regular and mandated sectoral programme/project reports for management, donors and partners.
- The post will also be responsible for the Technical and operational support to programme implementation, by conducting regular programme field visits along with sharing information with partners and stakeholders to assess progress. Supporting government counterparts, NGO partners, UN system partners.
- Networking and partnership building, through Building and sustaining effective close working partnerships with health sector government counterparts and national stakeholders, also pparticipating in appropriate inter-agency (UNCT) on health programmes, along with researching information on potential donors.

**To qualify as a champion for every child you will have **
- University degree in one of the following fields is required: public health/nutrition, pediatric health, family health, health research, global/international health, health policy and/or management, environmental health sciences, biostatistics, socio-medical, health education, epidemiology, or another relevant technical field.
- Minimum of two years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas is required: public health/nutrition planning and management, maternal and neonatal health care, or health emergency/humanitarian preparedness.
- Experience working in a developing country is considered as an asset.
- Relevant experience in a UN system agency or organization is considered as an asset.
- Fluency in English and Arabic are required.

**Selection Criteria**:

- Post-graduate degree in Public Health, Family Medicine, Health Management, or Health Policy
- Field experience in Public Health practice and/ or official organization for healthcare services in Egypt
- Previous experience in Program Reporting and Monitoring and Evaluation responsibilities.
