A leading network and digital integrator with a unique history as a telco operator and now an IT services company working in the digital transformation businesses worldwide is looking to hire a very strong "Senior Data Scientist" to join their team in Egypt. Data Scientist is a senior profile to support company vision with insights gained from analyzing company data. He/she will be using large data sets to find opportunities for product and process optimization and using models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action. Data Scientist must have strong experience using a variety of data mining/data analysis methods, using a variety of data tools, building and implementing models, using/creating algorithms and creating/running simulations. Data Scientist should be able to drive business results with their data-based insights working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams discovering solutions hidden in large data sets to improve business results. Data scientist will use their strong business sense along with an ability to communicate findings to both business and IT leaders in a way that can influence how an organization approaches a business challenge - Work closely with your business to identify issues and use data to propose solutions for effective decision making and drive business insights - Mine and analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies - Maintain clear and coherent communication, both verbal and written, to understand data needs and report results - Use machine learning tools and statistical techniques to produce solutions to problems - Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques - Use predictive modelling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting and other business outcomes - Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyse model performance and data accuracy - Present information using data visualization techniques - Horizon scan to stay up to date with latest technology, techniques and methods - Conduct research from which you'll develop prototypes and proof of concepts - Look for opportunities to use insights/datasets/code/models across other functions in the organization - Stay curious and enthusiastic about using algorithms to solve problems and enthuse others to see the benefit of your work **Requirements**: - Proven experience in, or a strong willingness to familiarize oneself with, database interrogation and analysis tools such as Hadoop, SQL, and SAS. This expertise is essential for efficiently analyzing vast amounts of data and extracting meaningful insights. - Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing statistical computing languages, including but not limited to R, Python, and SQL, to manipulate complex datasets and derive actionable insights. This skill set is crucial for transforming raw data into comprehensible information that can drive strategic decision-making. - A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field is a fundamental requirement, providing the theoretical and practical foundation necessary for success in this role.
