**Role Purpose**:
Network AI and Data Analytics team is a corner stone in Digital Network data driven strategy. We perform data driven insight to understand our network & customers behaviour, build machine learning models to automate network lifecycle (planning, optimization and operation) and improve our customer experience. Our machine learning work is done by researching and implementing the appropriate tools, such as Google’s BigQuery and Vertex AI (preferred).
The Network Data Scientist should deliver machine learning and deep learning solutions to assist decisions to optimize the energy consumption over the network, automate and simplify network planning, optimization and operation.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Deliver Artificial Intelligence for Digital & OSS.
- Translating NW complex datasets into key strategy insight and powerful capabilities to the business
- Develop Machine Learning /AI models aiming to improve network planning and optimization using Vertex AI.
- Identify new analytics trends and opportunities to drive the innovation across VF NW.
- Identify new data sources and evaluate emerging technologies for data discovery usage.
- Delve into data from different systems, structured and unstructured, both batch and real time, to discover hidden relationships and useful information
- liaise with design and development and support teams to help them in product evolution and troubleshooting, by providing insights both upon request or in a proactive way

- Analytical thinker, familiar with complex technologies, programming languages
- Good communication skills, with proven ability to work cross-functional teams to trans

**Must have technical / professional qualifications**:

- Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, random forests, logistic regression, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks
- Demonstrate wide range of technical experience and competencies working with statistics and machine learning, coding languages, databases, machine learning, and reporting technologies
- Strong programming skills in Python or Scala
- Experience in querying using SQL-like language (for both SQL and NoSQL databases)
- Practical experience with Google Cloud Platform, Vertex AI preferred
