**ICT Network Administrator**
**Project Overview and Role**:
USAID’s Trade Reform and Development in Egypt (TRADE) project builds on decades of U.S. investments in Egyptian businesses and economic policy with the aim of substantially increasing Egyptian exports from Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). The TRADE project focuses on six selected sectors: engineering products, food processing, home têxtiles, ready-made garments, chemicals, and building materials. Through the project, USAID works with the Government of Egypt to improve the trade and investment policy environment and reduce barriers to trade. USAID also partners with business associations and export councils to strengthen the trade services ecosystem for small
- and medium-sized exporters, as well as with private companies to help them access new international markets to increase export sales. TRADE tackles many trade and investment-related issues to sustainably increase Egyptian exports and drive economic growth.

**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**:

- **
**Troubleshoots network performance & Network Traffic issues.
- Install and maintain project ICT infrastructure hardware, including servers, routers, switchers, UPSs, PCs, etc.
- Install work related software on workstations (such as MS office), as needed.
Manage hardware maintenance as well as document and log the network usage.
Trouble shoot office equipment technical problems and provide technical support for TRADE staff.
- Share in implementing the IT procurement operations including the collection and evaluation processes of the submitted offers.
- Secure IT critical assets against misuse and provide critical incident reporting and response.
- Test the delivered work and ensure that everything operates in the optimal conditions
**Required Qualifications**:

- Experience working as a network administrator, preferably in a small organization of between 20-50 staff preferred.
- A degree or certificate in computer science, ICT, or related field.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in the IT field.
- Prior experience working with Microsoft software systems.
- Strong understanding of the Egyptian constraints, opportunities, and methodologies to ensure fast, reliable
- internet connectivity.
- Sound knowledge and experience of procurement procedures as well as and installation of ICT equipment and software.
- General awareness of the latest and most applicable technologies that could better serve TRADE project needs.
- Good English speaking and writing skills.
- Prior USAID project experience preferred. personal initiative.
