Geophysical Technologist for Apache Corporation will be an Apache Geoscience team member within our Egypt Asset at the company’s Cairo, Egypt office. This position will report to the Manager, Geoscience Technologists.

**This role will be primarily responsible for the following**:
**Data management**: source, format, OCR, load, QC, catalogue, transmittal, and physical and digital storage.
Create/Implement/Maintain best practices for seismic cataloguing and archiving; create 3D surveys and 2D lines in Exploration archives; manage entitlement documents.
Receive, QC, and load/distribute all incoming seismic data.
Ensure geoscience teams are accessing the most current and accurate data.
Interact with JV (Joint Venture) partners regarding seismic related data.
Interface with Corporate IT to manage seismic related data on the network, including regular forecasting of required storage based on anticipated incoming data; and
Interface with IT Applications group for troubleshooting, software implementation, and software development. Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Geophysics or ten years of relevant experience working with large volumes of seismic and support data
Advanced knowledge of geoscience data loading and management in both 2D and 3D environments
Subject matter expert loading and validating 2D and 3D land and marine seismic data, including pre-stack, post-stack, vintage seismic data, microseismic, and various other seismic data
Working knowledge of geodetics and units of measure used with seismic surveys.
Ability to sort through and define critical components of SEG-Y headers for loading and identifying seismic data.
Excellent communication skills - presentation experience to management and JV partners; effectively communicates work procedures and standards to relevant internal and external personnel
Ability to work and lead in a fast-paced environment within an integrated multi-disciplinary team
Capable of directing the work of others
Excellent project management skills; mature and professional attitude
