Microsoft’s Online Shopping team is collaborative and interdisciplinary. You will work closely with a diverse team within Microsoft that brings together Applied Scientists, software engineers, Data engineers and Product Managers. By bringing together a unique combination of knowledge and skillsets, as well as cutting edge Technology, we build novel solutions to global online Shopping.

As a **Data Engineer** in the Catalog Enrichment Team, you will build large scale data pipelines integrating different Machine Learning models and running on Billions of records with low latency. This opportunity will allow you to accelerate your career growth, become adept in designing and implementing large-scale data pipelines, optimize the utilization of available resources and decide about the right models to use in view of the available compute resources.

**Responsibilities**:

- You will implement basic code to extract raw data, validate its quality, and ensure the correct data is ingested within your area of work.
- You will contribute to the development of data tools that can transform, manage, and access data.
- You will also validate code to test the storage and availability of data platforms so that they’re more resilient.
- You will contribute to performance monitoring protocols across a data pipeline, supporting existing visualizations and aggregations to ensure pipeline performance.
- You will assist others in implementing solutions that minimize points of failure and help test improvements across a product feature.
- You will follow data modeling and handling procedures to maintain compliance with all applicable laws and policies across your assigned workstreams.
- You will also learn about permissions and approvals for data access within a data pipeline.

**Qualifications**:
**Required Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Math, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- OR equivalent experience.
- You must be legally authorized to work in Egypt to be eligible for this role
- Fluency in English

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Master's Degree in Computer Science, Math, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Math, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 1+ year(s) experience in business analytics, data science, software development, data modeling or data engineering
- OR equivalent experience.
- Experience Integrating Machine Learning models in the data pipelines.
