We are looking to hire a chief accountant to join our finance department and manage the major reporting and reconciliation duties of the company.

We need an outstanding professional who possesses inherent leadership qualities and attention to detail necessary to ensure accurate reporting to all areas. The chief accounting manager will have oversight of the monthly close, review journal entries, reconciliation, variances explanation, mentor the accountant and handle special projects as assigned.

**Chief Accountant Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Must have oversight of monthly close, reviewing journal entries, reconciliation, and variance explanation.
- Ensuring all accounting transactions are performed correctly on time.
- Confirm transactions are made accurately and entered in the accounting system.
- Ensure the supplier's invoice and reconciled and payments made.
- Reconcile financial transactions every month.
- Validate and reconcile inventory and fixed asset accounts.
- Liaise with the department head to collect data for preparing the budget and forecast.
- Ensure collect data is loaded into analytical software
- Compare actual with a budget and determine the reason for the variances in monthly
- Prepare year-end financial statement
- Ensure weekly bank reports generated by the IT department are properly reconciled with the bank statement
- Prepare a report for the finance management team
- Check cost center expenses and compare them against the budget.
- Validate online expense claims and process forward for approval.
- Count petty cash weekly.

**Chief Accountant Skills and Qualification**:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting is required, master's is preferred.
- Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in general or tax accounting. (Hospitality)
- Punctual, reliable, and must have strong communication skills.
- Expert in the computer ledger system
- Advanced knowledge of excel and familiarity with SAP 6.0 plus.
- Able to function in a team and possess strong problem-solving skills.
- CPA certification preferred.
- Strong financial accounting experience and public accounting experience are preferred.
- Excellent communication and presentation skill is required.
- Expert in handling large ERP and reporting packages
