In Egypt, Siemens Mobility is delivering one of the country’s first high-speed rail system. This landmark project, spanning approximately 2,000 kilometers, will connect 60 cities across Egypt, transforming transportation for both passengers and goods. Today, we are recruiting for a **Project Health Safety Environmental EHS Lead**to join our team in Egypt. This is an excellent career opportunity for professionals looking to join a truly international team in one of the biggest projects of Siemens Mobility.
**What are my responsibilities?**
- Responsible for the monitoring the compliance of the EHS procedures as part of the Consortium Joint Venture.
- Responsible for supporting contractors & sub-contractors with the EHS strategy and procedures.
- Responsible to monitoring the EHS Coverage coordinate the supervision of the construction & installation performed by CJV for SMO
- Responsible to coordinate with the consortium and contractor HSE requirements
- Maintain EHS process at site to ensure compliance with EHS & IFC guidelines.
- Report any breaches of Life saving rules Conduct initial investigations.
- Review EHS safe systems of work at site inclusive of STARRT cards Permits.
- Review locations for equipment and plant compliance
- Ensure all persons in site location are trained and authorized to be on site.
- Attend and deliver weekly toolbox topics in line with consortium EHS team.
**What do I need to qualify for this job?**
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental management or equivalent, master’s degree will be an advantage.
- Has a Minimum of 4+ years of experience in environment and social management in a multinational Environment.
- Qualification at a minimum EHS OSHA Certification, recognized by a professional association supported with relevant work experience
- OSHA, IOSH NVQ NEEBOSH, OFQUAL, recognized by a professional association supported with relevant work experience.
- Has consolidated work experience with exposure to Project Occupational Health and Safety requirements a site level specific to the project scope
