As the **Head of Data Engineering**, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and driving the development of our data infrastructure and engineering capabilities. You will lead a team of talented data engineers to deliver scalable and high-performance data solutions, ensuring that our clients have access to accurate and actionable insights. **Responsibilities**: - Lead and manage a team of data engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high-quality work and the efficient delivery of data engineering solutions. - Develop and implement data engineering strategies, frameworks, and best practices that align with business objectives and technical requirements. - Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of data infrastructure, pipelines, and systems to ensure data availability, quality, and consistency. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, product managers, and business stakeholders, to identify technical needs and translate them into effective data engineering solutions. - Drive innovation by exploring new technologies, tools, and methodologies to continuously improve data infrastructure and pipeline performance. - Ensure the security, privacy, and compliance of data infrastructure with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices. - Optimize the performance of data systems and pipelines, providing regular updates on performance metrics and progress to senior management. - Monitor and manage data engineering projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery while maintaining high standards of data quality and scalability. **Requirements**: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field - Proven experience in a leadership role within a data-driven organization - Strong knowledge of data management principles and best practices - Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing - Proficient in data visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI - Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills - Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels **Benefits** **Office environment**: When you come to our b_labs office, you'll find creative workspaces, a well-equipped kitchen, and an open design to foster collaboration between teams. **Education budget**: We believe the learning journey never ends, therefore you will be entitled to an annual education budget to take part in trainings, courses or onsite conferences of your choice. **Flexibility**: You know best whether you want to work from home or in the office.
