**Mechanical Engineer duties and responsibilities**:
A Mechanical & Maintenance Engineer ensures that all mechanical systems work safely and efficiently to meet user needs. **Their duties include**:

- Identifying deficiencies in mechanical processes and developing improvements.
- Designing and developing prototypes.
- Analysing and testing prototypes and each revision of a device.
- Developing, initiating and managing all phases of projects.
- Preparing documentation of critical analysis and providing suggestions for correcting errors.
- Collaborating with Project Managers for proper allocation and tracking of resources.

**Job Requirements**:

- BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Proven working experience in mechanical & Maintenance engineering.
- Hands-on experience with computer-aided engineering (CAM).
- Familiarity with 2D or 3D engineering design and manufacturing tools (e.g., AutoCAD, ProE or other).
- Adequate knowledge of engineering analysis tools (ANSYS, ProMechanica or similar).
- Mathematical computing and analysis tools knowledge (Matlab, Excel, LabView etc).
- Solid understanding of core concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science etc.
- Creativity and analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner.
- Technical writing skills.
