**What you’ll do**

**Responsible for all Field-Based Health Economics and Outcome Research Activities;**
- Lead the development and execution of Market Access strategies for assigned AZ brands
- Formulate pricing/contract strategy required to implement brand access strategy
- Develop and maintain strong relationship with key payers & key decision makers
- Lead cross-functional team (with Medical, Commercial, Finance) on developing different Access schemes, innovative access solutions to expand access, secure favorable reimbursement, and Formulary decisions
- Lead cross functional team who is responsible for development and execution of our Access strategy for key products and provide strong support to MA managers during the negotiations with key accounts to win formulary positioning and reimbursement at efficient price levels
- Facilitate and/or conduct trainings of external partners on key issues and trends in Health Technology Assessment (HTA) and Value-Based Care
- Work closely with Market access, Finance to ensure achievement of our financial goals
- Do business in a strictly transparent and compliant way consistent with AstraZeneca’s Code of Ethics
- Identify and develop payer-specific strategies including generation of economic and clinical data supporting the products’ value proposition
- Maintain high standard level of knowledge and understanding regarding scientific, clinical and health economic data specially for newly launched products
- Provide market feedback to management on customer business trends, competitive updates and industry issues and opportunities
- Serve as a strategic business partner with business units to establish priorities in plan for payers and physician education and the identification of opportunities through frequent communication and quarterly business reviews

**Responsible for Market Access Activities: Strategic Pricing, Reimbursement and Formulary Listing in Key Accounts;**
- Ensure best launch and in-market prices according to the market situation, aligned with AZ global strategy, and Global Pricing Implementation policies
- Contribute to an understanding of the impact on business strategy caused by competitors’ actions
- Ensure listing in regional and national drug lists; ensure Health Technology Assessment evaluations (where applicable) according to target positioning and reimbursement aligned with Country and brand strategy
- Influence early decisions in global and local development program regarding understanding of competitive environment and local requirements

**Key knowledge / experience needed**:

- Prior Experience in Market Access is necessary and Account Key Management Experience is preferable
- 7+ years of Pharma Management experience
- 10+ years of commercial experience
- Well-developed record of successful relationship management
- Significant commercial understanding of the markets
- Expert negotiation and persuasive ability
- Project management skills with experience of complex projects
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong record of effectively developing other professionals
- Proven ability to understand and clearly communicate scientific and economic topics
- Well-developed understanding of national Health Care, regulatory environment, of drug P&R and Listing processes
- Proven ability to develop trust-based relationships with government officials, regulators, and other key stakeholders
