Apache's Global Supply Chain team is seeking an experienced Logistics and Inventory General Manager to be located in our Cairo, Egypt, Khalda Petroleum Company (KPC) offices reporting to the Director, KPC Supply Chain. KPC is a joint venture with the Egyptian government and is one of the largest producers of oil and gas in the country. The position is responsible for leading the Customs Clearance, Logistics and Inventory functions for the organization. As well as identifying opportunities for improvement, this individual will have the autonomy to evaluate and adjust the materials management strategy to make the necessary changes needed to drive higher performance for the organization. This person must have extensive experience in managing, logistics, warehouse and yard operations and knowledgeable about all relevant health, safety, and environmental requirements. This role will drive the development and implementation of leading practice logistics and inventory strategies designed to extract maximum value for the organization.

**This role will be primarily responsible for the following**:
Together with the JV counterpart, provide leadership to a staff of more than 50 people including customs clearance, inventory and logistics managers.
Creates expectations of relentlessly delivering on business needs in a multi-layer supervisory organization.
Responsible for the development and management of a plan for the movement and storage strategies of materials across all of KPC’s operating areas.
Accountable for effective day to day management of the inventory holdings.
Responsible for inventory planning and resourcing for all ongoing materials requirements.
Accountable for developing and maintaining all Supply Chain Procedures relevant to inventory and materials movements
Accountable for developing and managing disposal processes which demonstrate best returns to the shareholders.
Work closely with the other Supply Chain functions to ensure optimum performance while minimizing costs, maintaining appropriate inventory levels and rationalizing storage expenses.
Provide strategic direction on the storage and holding of materials.
Research and develop plan to review the inventory held and conduct optimization and reduction of obsolete materials.
Refinement of materials management processes and evaluation of opportunities that could provide a more cost-effective materials management solution for KPC.
Lead and mentor the materials group to achieve optimum performance.
Develop and monitor KPIs to ensure continuous performance improvement. Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or relevant discipline
Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or relevant discipline is preferred.
15 - 20 years of relevant experience in Inventory and Logistics Management
