Hpc Logistics Team Leader

**Job Summary**:
The Internal Logistics Engineer at Unilever Soap and Powder Factory is responsible for optimizing and managing the internal logistics operations within the factory. This role involves analyzing and improving logístical processes, developing efficient workflows, and implementing strategies to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure timely delivery of materials and products. The Internal Logistics Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement, implements technology solutions, and monitors performance metrics to drive continuous improvement in internal logistics operations specific to the soap and powder manufacturing industry.

**Responsibilities**:

- Implement inventory tracking systems and methodologies to monitor stock levels, track usage, and minimize stockouts and excess inventory specifically for soap and powder raw materials and finished products.
- Analyse existing internal logistics processes within the soap and powder factory to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement process improvement initiatives to optimize material flow, reduce lead times, and minimize waste specifically in the soap and powder manufacturing context.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as production, quality control, and maintenance, to streamline processes and eliminate non-value-added activities specific to soap and powder production.
- Cooperate with planning teams to discuss production plans, and RPM stock availability.
- Coordinate dispatching activities within the soap and powder factory to external warehouse or to port & ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and products.
- Identify and implement technology solutions specific to the soap and powder manufacturing industry to automate and streamline internal logistics processes.
- Evaluate and select appropriate software systems, such as specialized warehouse management systems (WMS) or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems tailored for soap and powder production, to support logistics operations.
- Provide training and support to users on logistics-related technology systems specific to soap and powder manufacturing.
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) specific to the soap and powder manufacturing context to measure and monitor the effectiveness of internal logistics operations.
- Generate regular reports and analysis on logistics performance in soap and powder production, identify trends, and recommend improvement initiatives.
- Conduct root cause analysis to address performance issues specific to soap and powder manufacturing logistics and implement corrective actions.

**Job Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering - A master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in logistics engineering, process improvement, or supply chain management within the manufacturing industry, preferably in the soap and powder sector.
- Years of Experience: 1 to 3 years
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of logistics concepts, such as material flow, inventory management, transportation, and distribution, specifically in the context of soap and powder production.
- Familiarity with process improvement methodologies, such as Lean Six Sigma or Kaizen, applicable to soap and powder manufacturing.
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools.
- Experience with logistics software systems, such as specialized WMS or ERP systems for soap and powder manufacturing.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong project management skills.
