Why this job is important

Are you an accomplished legal professional with a passion for commercial law? Kantar, a global leader in data, insights, and analytics, is seeking a Legal Counsel to join our Middle East and wider MEA / APAC Commercial Legal Team. In this role, you’ll play a crucial part in ensuring Kantar’s legal compliance while supporting our business growth.

What you’ll be doing
- Proactive Legal Support: Be the go-to legal contact for internal business clients, advising on various commercial and contracting matters.
- Agreements and Negotiations: Draft and negotiate commercial agreements with international and regional clients and suppliers, ensuring favourable terms for Kantar.
- Risk Management: Analyse legal and commercial risks, solve day-to-day legal issues, and build strong relationships across the organisation.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to evolving the team processes, including know-how sharing and the development of legal templates.
- Business alignment: Spot sensitive legal and business concerns, aligning with Kantar’s principles, and drive organizational alignment on privacy, IP, AI and other legal matters.

The skills & experience needed as Legal Counsel
- LLB and/or degree in Law
- 5+ years of experience in commercial transactions (law firm or in-house)
- Experience in licensing and data privacy is a plus
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Commercial acumen and provide valuable legal guidance
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Problem solving mindset
