**_ Objective:_**

The purpose of the assignment is to support the scaling up of Dawwie community engagement package in targeted governorates based on a national scale - up plan to cover all 27 governorates.

Under the supervision of the SBC Specialist, the consultant will be working closely with CSOs, FBOs, and relevant national partners such as NCW, NCCM and others.
- _**_ACTIVITIES, DELIVERABLES, AND TIMELINES, PLUS BUDGET PER DELIVERABLE:_**

Over the next 12 months, the field coordinator will be supporting in
- Organizing, and facilitating capacity building sessions for official counterparts, civil society organizations and relevant stakeholders and development partners,
- Mobilizing grass-root civil society organizations in local communities to join Dawwie through identifying capacity needs and facilitating capacity building,
- Support the implementation of on-ground community engagement activities based on the Dawwie engagement package,
- Monitoring, documenting and reporting activities in different governorates including identifying human interest stories,
- Any other related requests by the supervisor within the framework of this consultancy.

**1. **Capacity building**

1.1 At least 30 workshops of at least 2 days each on how to use the Dawwie community engagement Toolkit **(60 days) (30 workshops held) **including:

- utilization and hands on implementation of community engagement activities

1.2 At least 20 one day sessions to relevant stakeholders on alignment with child safeguarding methods and first-aid psychosocial support **(20 days) (20, one day sessions implemented)**

1.3 Support the capacity, implementation, and coordination of at least 30 Dawwie camps in selected governorates **(77 days)** as per the AWP and RWP with targeted stakeholders **(30 Dawwie camps implemented)**

- **Field coordination**

2.1 Mobilizing at least 20 grass-root civil society organizations in local communities to join Dawwie through identifying capacity needs and facilitating capacity building **(21 days) (Mapping, identifying and recruiting 20 grassroot CSOs)**

2.2 facilitating, coordinating, and strengthening community based grassroot mechanisms/networks for collating efforts at the community level through -but not limited to community based events, community dialogues, etc. **(21 days) (2 grassroot networks created on community level)**

2.4 tracking, M&E reporting, and documentation of on ground activities with partners and organic expansions on monthly basis **(21 days) (reports finalized in due time)**

**CONDITIONS OF WORK**:
The project coordinator will work within the framework of the Social and Behavioral Change/Community Engagement (SBC/CE) Section.

Consultancy will include frequent field visits to the projects’ sites including Upper, Lower and Urban Governorates according to a set plan.

Monthly reports with progress, challenges, and recommendations are essential part of the deliverables and request for payments.

The consultant will be mandated to follow UNICEF codes of conducts.

**To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have**

The consultant should be a resident of Egypt and is expected to possess the following qualifications:
University degree in development or social sciences or any related field

Minimum 5 years of community mobilization experience in Egypt, preferably in the selected governorates.

Minimum 5 years of experience in field work, preferably in rural areas

Excellent command of Arabic (reading and writing) is a must

Strong understanding of UNICEF’s social and behavioral change/community engagement is a must

Experience to work with government counterparts and international organizations.
