After accomplishing over 150 successful projects, we headed into refining its path.
**Job Summary**
As a **Senior Solar Systems Sales Engineer**, you will bridge the gap between **technical expertise** and **customer needs**, driving revenue growth by advising clients on SolarSol World’s products. You’ll collaborate with engineering, marketing, and executive teams to **design customized solar solutions**, close high-value deals, and build long-term client relationships in key markets.
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Technical Sales Leadership**:
- Serve as the **primary technical expert** for SolarSol’s PV systems, inverters, storage solutions, and software.
- Conduct **product demonstrations, feasibility studies, and ROI analyses** for clients (utilities, EPCs, developers).
- Develop **customized solar system proposals** aligned with client energy goals and site constraints.
- **Business Development**:
- Identify and pursue **new sales opportunities** in target markets (e.g., C&I, utility-scale, international).
- Manage the **entire sales cycle** from lead generation to contract negotiation and post-sale support.
- Represent SolarSol at **trade shows, conferences, and industry events**.
- **Cross-Functional Collaboration**:
- Work with engineering teams to **translate technical specs into customer benefits**.
- Provide feedback to R&D on **market trends and product improvements**.
- Mentor junior sales engineers and support team KPIs.
- **Customer Success**:
- Build trust with clients by addressing technical queries (e.g., system design, permitting, grid compliance).
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure **smooth handoff from sale to installation**.
**Qualifications & Skills**
- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in **Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Renewable Energy)** or related field. MBA a plus.
- **Experience**: 3+ years in **solar sales engineering**, with a proven track record of meeting/exceeding quotas.
- **Technical Knowledge**:
- Deep understanding of **PV system design, energy storage, and solar financing models**.
- Familiarity with **CAD/PVSyst, NEC/IEC standards, and utility interconnection processes**.
- **Soft Skills**:
- Exceptional **presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building** abilities.
- Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for **non-technical stakeholders**.
- **Travel**: Willingness to travel **30-50%** (regionally/nationally).
