**EVP Med>Project Management Egypt>Construction** Vestas Mediterranean (MED) is an independent Sales Business Unit (SBU) within Vestas Wind Systems A/S, covering markets in the Mediterranean region, the Middle East, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Northwest Africa. Vestas MED is responsible for developing these markets in terms of sales, project installation, and customer service. The Construction department is in charge of all wind farm projects from tendering up to completion. The team takes responsibility for a wind farm once a contract has been signed - and remains responsible until the final tests are completed. Working closely with the logistics, procurement and finance departments, the team has to keep the project on budget and on schedule and ensures our high-quality safety and quality standards are met. It also works closely with the sales and legal departments to ensure each wind farm delivers the highest energy yield within the client’s specification. **Responsibilities**: Due to the high growth expectations within the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) areas, a Specialist EPC/BOP Civil Engineer is needed. Depending on the Senior project manager, the key tasks they will be involved in the: - Supervise the civil works for the construction of the Wind Farm: Roads, platforms, foundations, drainages, etc. - Supervise testing and quality activities to ensure compliance with applicable procedures and standards - Preparation of reports: Daily, weekly and monthly reports with the monitoring of the different activities, as required. - Fluid communication with the engineering department. Make photographic memories to distribute with the engineering department, as required. - Engineering follow-up and on-site updates of all engineering documentation, placing emphasis on updating IFC documentation to ensure that work is up to date. - Assistance to SPM in the variations and negotiations of the client / subcontractor for civil balance of payments issues **Qualifications**: - MSc Civil Engineering, MSc Architect with civil experience. - 8-12 years’ experience in substations, electrical engineering and construction in the Wind Energy and Substations. - Other experiences such as transmission lines construction/engineering will be valued. - Fluent in English and Arabic languages. - Knowledge of Portuguese or French are added value - AutoCAD **Competencies**: - Good capacities to negotiation and work as a part of a team - Good technical skills with an emphasis on problem-solving and root cause failure analysis - Effective communication and presentation skills - Effective time management and organization skills - Creative, solution-finding, and a high degree of motivation to satisfy customer needs **What we offer**: - We offer you an exciting job with great opportunities for professional and personal development with the energy industry’s global partner on sustainable energy solutions.
