The STEM Program Senior Specialist oversees the STEM center and manages the STEM grants projects and STEM activities offered to the public. This will entail program implementation planning and execution as well as supervising program assistants. The Program Senior Specialist will support the Professional Skills Department in the administration of various grant and service for a fee STEM related programs. S/he will provide technical assistance as well as conduct day-to-day activities within the center. S/he will also assist the Professional Skills Department in handling program details while ensuring customer satisfaction. The Specialist may also support a number of different projects across departments based on business need.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
Tasks and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Report to STEM Center Associate Manager on registration, implementation, complaints, and program status
- May oversee and mentor Program Assistants, Program Specialist and Office Assistants
- Train and mentor new Program Assistants, Program Specialist and Office Assistants
- Assist planning for the STEM Center annual calendar
- Plan and oversee the implementation of STEM activities on a monthly plan
- Conduct kick off meeting before new rounds and/or new projects
- Report on program enrollment numbers to STEM Center Associate Manager
- Coordinate with the Customer Service Department regarding public registration issues if any
- Develop new ways to efficiently and effectively run operations in the STEM Center
- Handle instructors/ teachers’ hiring and follow up on the delivery
- Coordinate with the marketing department regarding promotions and announcements
- Track Department’s inventory of books in coordination with the finance department
- Track and initiate procurement requests in coordination with the procurement team
- Track delayed receivables and payables with the finance department
- Report on budget updates to the STEM Center Associate Manager
- Participate in cross-functional projects with openness to change to empower others
- Coordinate efforts with the call center and customer service to capture customer feedback
- Monitor and evaluates the performance of teachers as well as students
- Participate in the hiring and selection of teachers/ instructors
- Review the content being delivered in the STEM center
- Follows up on IC payments and ensure the completion of all related admin work
**Qualifications and Skills**
**_Required_**
- BA degree with a minimum 3 years of project management experience preferably in (STEM Education, Education or Youth Development).
- Experience in managing or administrating donor funded projects.
- Knowledge of Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) methods and tools.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, aware of concepts such as acquisition, contract, and procurement management.
- Very good skills in spoken and written English
- Fluent in Arabic
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrative creativity and initiative
- Ability to organize and maintain large amount of detailed information
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
- Ability to work independently and accept responsibility
- Excellent computer literacy in MS Office
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Strong presentation and analytical skills
**_Preferred_**
- Undergraduate or graduate degree from a U.S. or Canadian university
- Supervisory experience
- Excellent written Arabic
- Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) or Project Management for Development (PMD)
- TOEIC minimum score of 750 or equivalent
**WORK ENVIRONMENT**
The incumbent in this position will work in a professional office environment and will utilize the following equipment when working from the corporate office or remote home office (either on a full time, temporary, or hybrid basis)

- Telephone
