5G Senior Test Automation Engineer - Transport

What you’ll achieve

As a **Senior**5G Transport Test Automation Engineer** you will be part of a cross functional global team of experts to design and build services, tools, and frameworks that are used across DELL 5G RAN SW engineering teams focusing on 5G Transport layer.

As part of the team, you will work in collaboration with multiple teams around the world.

You will:

- Develop and help execute test plans validating the functionality, quality, and performance focusing on the Transport & Platform layers interfacing with all 5G RAN & Core components
- Leading all software verification/integration testing activities (UT, Component, E2E testing) inTransport Network components in 5G RAN
- Collaborate with other members of the scrum to achieve the highest possible level of automation for all test cases in support of a stable and efficient continuous integration framework
- Build test strategy, test plan & automation roadmap for Transport and work with scrum teams to execute
- Mentor junior test and automation developers to help them to contribute their best work

Essential Requirements
- Ability to demonstrate a deep understanding of modern Software Quality Assurance methodologies and best of class industry practices
- Expertise in network protocols testing (TCP, IP, UDP, ICMP, ARP layers) using Linux network tools (iproute, iperf)
- Experience in test automation automating using Python
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience with the CI/CD development environment
- Good programming and scripting skills (C++,Python, Shell, bash) Hands-on experience in Linux with different Distros
- Experience building, maintaining and optimizing testing automation frameworks
- Experience in leading testing and automation activities in cross functional teams

Desirable Requirements
- Hands on experience with Robot Framework
- Knowledge of the 5G ORAN, 5GNR technologies and the 3GPP specification
- Understanding of Fronthaul, Midhaul and Backhaul in 5G RAN
