The architectural runway will help create world class digital solutions and capabilities aimed at enhancing, maintaining and modernizing the digital platforms used by developers to meet our ambitions. Vodafone is looking for talented technical product owners who experiment, fail fast, and innovate at pace to define our future and create a cultural transformation.

**About the role**:
You will have excellent stakeholder management skills which will enable you to execute your accountability for partnering with senior business leaders and customers across Europe to create the roadmap. You will also be comfortable presenting and testing your ideas with senior management throughout the product lifecycle.

Leading the delivery Squads during scrum you will be responsible for the effective communication and translation of the architectural runway use cases / business requirements to squad members and working with developers to help translate requirements. The Product Owner is responsible on behalf of the runway delivery manager’s for the acceptance / rejection of sprint outputs and determining when / where to release features and value.

**Core competencies, knowledge and experience**:

- Good understanding of cloud and digital technologies. Vodafone is embracing a build don’t buy mantra and cloud will form an important part of this technology stack
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to articulate complex issues simply and with impact
- Emotionally intelligent with the ability to flex styles across a wide range of stakeholders at various levels within the organisation
- Good Business Analysis skillset ability to take complex concepts / issues and communicate them in a manner which enables decisions to be made and progress to be maintained
- Good risk management experience on underlying platforms and technology. We are looking to deliver real value, so understanding the risks involved on technology enablement such as regulatory compiance, system performance, system costs, system security, system efficiency, etc. are crucial.

**Must have technical / professional qualifications**:

- A strong background in cloud platforms, big data systems, and digital technologies
- Good experience working in an Agile and transformation environment, with a good understanding and ideally, exposure to a Product Owner role.
- Experience with Agile tools such as JIRA and Azure DevOps
- Ideally a relevant Degree in Engineering, computer science, or equivalent experience.

**Key accountabilities and decision ownership**:

- Collaborate with stakeholders to craft vision and concept development of a platform or technology capability
- Take lead of scrum teams, defining vision, roadmap, and growth opportunities, communicating with stakeholders throughout the project
- Work with internal and external contacts to analyze needs and align delivery roadmap to strategic goals
- Work closely with engineering teams/product teams/business teams to create and maintain a backlog according to value
- Create visibility and awareness to all stakeholders internally and externally of the ongoing deliveries and supporting risk management in the Architectural Runway,
