**ROLE SUMMARY**:

- King’s School The Crown is built in extensive grounds offering world-class educational and sporting facilities, enabling students to pursue a diverse range of interests. Our purpose-Built Campus of over 40,000m2 located in the heart of Cairo's most prestigious gated community, The Crown, 6th October city. This school is the first in the region to cater to students from 3 months up to 18 years with state-of-the-art facilities, including: a full football field, 400m athletic track, 25m 8 lane covered swimming pool with learner pool, indoor multi-purpose sports hall, outdoor multipurpose courts and a 522 seat Performing Arts theatre.- King’s School The Crown is delighted to be a part of the British Council schools partnership, working with Cambridge to deliver the UK national curriculum through to IGCSE. The process involved multiple inspections to ensure our new school met the highest standards, from the Egyptian Ministry of Education, Cambridge and the British Council. King’s School passed with flying colours- We are seeking an outstanding, committed and energetic Director of Performing Arts (Music specialism), to join King’s School The Crown to start in **August 2025**.- **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Teaching timetabled lessons, ensuring that planning, preparation, recording, assessment, and reporting meet the varying learning and social needs of learners, and adhere to school requirements.
- Maintaining the positive ethos of the school and values, inside and outside of the classroom at all times.
- Contribute to constructive team building amongst teachers and non-teaching staff, parents, and senior staff.
- Contributing to the wider school curriculum, supporting the development of policy and practice inside and outside the classroom.
- Supporting King’s School marketing activities, which may include occasional requirements for attendance outside the normal working hours, upon reasonable request from the Executive Head.

**THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE**:

- A minimum of 3+ years’ experience with pupils in Upper Primary and Secondary years (Year 5- 13).
- Confidence with use of ICT in teaching.
- Fluency in English at an academic standard.
- Experience teaching Key Stage 2 to 3 age children in the UK curriculum framework.
- Knowledge and understanding of theory and practice for meeting the learning needs of the students.
- Experience in delivering the UK Primary and Secondary curriculum and framework.
- Excellent working knowledge and experience in Mathematics with diverse teaching methods.
- Ability to teach GCSE and/or O level will be an advantage.
