- **PROJECT BACKGROUND**

The Business Egypt Program is a five-year, USAID-funded program implemented by DAI. Business Egypt aims to substantially increase sales revenues and investments among Egyptian micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises and, by so doing, create new job opportunities, especially for women and youth. The project will co-invest with an ecosystem of institutions—business service providers, business associations, supportive government institutions, and more—to offer new products and services enabling MSMEs to better meet market demand and increase their sales. Business Egypt’s proposed sectors are renewable energy, ICT, and 3 additional sectors TBD. The project will operate from offices in Cairo, Alexandria, and Minya/Assiut (TBD).

**2. POSITION DESCRIPTION**

The Regional Program Manager will be responsible for the oversight and coordination of regional program and operations activities. The RPM will be based in Cairo but will travel frequently to the regional offices in Alexandria and Minya/Assiut to ensure proper oversight and coordination of activities. He/she will be expected to travel among offices and to MSMEs in field locations frequently. This is to coordinate and support technical assistance to MSMEs and BDS centers onsite.

**3. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Coordinate regional activities with program’s technical teams and subcontractors, this includes Partnership Development Funds (PDF), and any subcontracting activities, and operational activities as necessary;
- Collaborate with technical teams on the design and implementation of regional activities;
- Coordinate operations and administration needs across both regional offices with the operations team in Cairo, this includes procurement, finance and logistics for regional offices;
- Lead/supervise a team of two Regional Program Coordinators based in Alexandria and Assiut or Minya;
- Oversee logistics for regional activities, working closely with the Regional Program Coordinators in Alexandria and Assiut or Minya and the operations team in Cairo, this includes procurements and events organization for program activities;
- Track and report expenditures for regional program activities against preset budgets. Provide data and contribute to setting individual budgets for activities.
- Assist with inputs into key project deliverables like the annual work plan, bi-weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports, and ad hoc requests from USAID;
- Build relationships with MSMEs, BDS firms, local GOE counterparts, etc.

**4. QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required, master’s preferred.
- Minimum 9 years of relevant experience, including procurement, logistics, finance, budget management with a donor organization and the private sector.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with donor organizations in Egypt is required.
- Proven interpersonal, supervisory, and management skills
- Ability to work independently and coordinate operations in multiple locations.
- Good command of English language, both spoken and written.
