Arabic Financial Correspondent, Reuters

As our **Arabic Financial Correspondent**,** you will:

- Plan, report and write a full range of Reuters stories - from day-to-day news and quick exclusives to longer feature-length pieces
- Help Reuters stand out from the competition with scoops, analysis, and insightful journalism
- Build a wide range of sources and contacts including from government institutions, companies and banks
- Be able to work under pressure in a very fast-paced environment
- Work closely with other reporters and editors in Egypt and Sudan bureau, including video and photo colleagues
- Coordinate with our Middle East Breaking News Hub to publish alerts and updates
- Follow regional events and markets
- Monitor Arab and international media and help make changes to keep Reuters ahead on speed and original content

To be our **Arabic Financial Correspondent**, you will likely have:

- Economic or financial news reporting experience
- Excellent source building skills
- Excellent command of Arabic and English
- Sound news judgement and story conceptualization
- Solid understanding of the economy and politics in Egypt and the Middle East
- Appetite for investigative reporting
