Danfoss Power Electronics and Drives is looking for a skilled and motivated Production Engineer to join our Production Engineering department. Danfoss Power Electronics and Drives is a market leader in developing and manufacturing state-of-the-art frequency converters and is one of the biggest electronics manufacturers in Denmark. The converters are produced in a make-to-order setup with very short lead time and a production with very high degree of automation and error proofing in all processes.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Production Engineer, you'll play a key role in driving continuous improvement and ensuring effective communication with customers, colleagues, and suppliers. You'll combine hands-on problem-solving with innovative ideas to support and enhance production processes.

This role is intended to oversee a PCBA manufacturing line that covers oddshape/oddform mounting, wave soldering, manual assembly and automated optical inspection. The line produces power electronics for the 0-7,5 kW VLT drives in high volume and low take time.

Specifically, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading process improvements by implementing irreversible corrective actions for process issues and process capability challenges.
  • Participating in and managing smaller departmental projects and cross-functional initiatives to support organizational objectives.

  • A background as a production engineer or equivalent, with experience in manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of quality tools such as PPAP, MSA, calibration, PFMEA, control plans and SPC.
  • Knowledge of lean methodology and tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills using tools like 8D, 5 Whys, and fishbone diagrams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
  • Fluency in Danish and English, both written and spoken.
