Key Responsibilities

1. Design & Technical Documentation

  • Prepare and update ELV shop drawings, as-built drawings, schematics, and layouts.
  • Use
    Edwards fire alarm software
    for device programming, system configuration, and panel setup.
  • Assist in ELV design calculations, device placement, cable routing, and compliance checks.
  • Review project specifications, IFC drawings, and tender documents for ELV systems including:
  • Fire Alarm (Edwards)
  • CCTV & Security
  • Access Control
  • Structured Cabling/Data System
  • Public Address
  • IPTV/SMATV
  • BMS/Automation

2. Material & Procurement Support

  • Prepare material submittals, datasheets, BOQs, and compliance statements.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to obtain technical offers.
  • Perform accurate quantity take-offs (QTO) and assist in procurement tracking.

3. Coordination & Communication

  • Prepare and follow up on Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Coordinate with consultants, main contractors, and internal teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Support design and coordination meetings related to ELV systems.

4. Standards & Compliance

  • Ensure ELV system designs comply with international standards (NFPA, BICSI, BS, IEC, etc.).
  • Support the preparation of testing & commissioning documents and handover files.
  • Perform technical reviews of vendor submissions for accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 1–3 years of experience
    in ELV systems within construction/MEP projects.
  • Practical experience using
    Edwards Fire Alarm Software
    .
  • Strong knowledge of fire alarm, CCTV, access control, data cabling, and other ELV systems.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit is a plus.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with MS Office and basic project documentation tools.
