Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Electrical Technical Office Engineer based in Cairo, Egypt. The primary duties include preparing and reviewing shop drawings, conducting quantity take-offs, and creating Bills of Quantities (BOQ). The engineer will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure project accuracy and compliance with design specifications. Additional responsibilities include coordinating with the site team, troubleshooting issues during project execution, and maintaining documentation to support ongoing and future installations.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in preparing Shop Drawings and creating Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
  • Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering principles and technical applications.
  • Knowledge of Quantity Surveying techniques and their practical implementation.
  • A basic understanding or familiarity with Civil Engineering concepts as they relate to electrical work.
  • Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in relevant engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools).
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • Previous experience in technical office roles within the construction or engineering sector is a plus.
