In this strategic role, you will be the bridge between development and operations, focusing on applying engineering practices to infrastructure and deployment pipelines. You will be responsible for the reliability, scalability, and automated provisioning of our core platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, Implement, and Maintain Core Platform:
    Own the setup and scaling of container orchestration platforms using
    Kubernetes
    and
    Docker
    .
  • Drive Infrastructure as Code:
    Define, provision, and manage all underlying cloud infrastructure using
    Terraform
    and
    Ansible
    .
  • Automated System Administration:
    Use configuration management tools (Ansible) for automated provisioning and continuous drift correction of Linux server fleets.
  • Own the Software Delivery Lifecycle:
    Design, build, and maintain robust and secure
    CI/CD pipelines
    using
    GitLab
    (or similar tools) to ensure fast, reliable application deployments.
  • Promote GitOps:
    Implement and manage practices (e.g., using ArgoCD) to automate the deployment of applications to Kubernetes environments.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    Work closely with software development teams to optimize application architecture for cloud-native environments and improve release cycles.
  • Establish Reliability Standards:
    Define, monitor, and report on
    Service Level Objectives (SLOs)
    and key application metrics.
  • Drive Observability:
    Build, maintain, and enhance our comprehensive monitoring stack (
    Prometheus
    ,
    Grafana
    ) and logging solution (
    Elasticsearch
    ) to ensure full system visibility and proactive alerting.
  • Secure Infrastructure:
    Implement and manage security measures, including network segmentation, access control policies, and
    Site-to-Site VPN
    configurations.
  • Manage and address critical support incidents
    reported through the ticketing system (e.g., Jira), including
    handling support phone calls
    during incidents.

Ideal Candidate Profile (Must-Have)

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in platform or infrastructure engineering.
  • Practical, hands-on experience with:
  • Kubernetes
    and
    Docker
    in a production environment.
  • Cloud providers, specifically
    AWS
    .
  • Infrastructure as Code
    tools (
    Terraform
    or strong
    Ansible
    ).
  • Experience with
    CI/CD pipeline construction
    (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar).
  • Solid Linux administration and scripting proficiency (e.g., Bash, Python).
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
  • Ability to work on-call and during night operations as needed.
  • Exempted or postponed military service.

Nice-to-Have Skills (Enhancing DevOps Balance)

  • Experience defining and managing SLOs and SLIs.
