Pump world services is hiring Pump Service Engineer

Department: Service & Maintenance

Reports To: Service Manager / Technical Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Pump Service Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of various types of pumps and associated systems, both on-site and in the workshop. This role requires strong technical skills, a hands-on approach, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service

Key Responsibilities:

Install, commission, maintain, and repair pumps and pumping systems (centrifugal, submersible, diaphragm, positive displacement, etc.).

Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and perform corrective actions.

Conduct routine maintenance and inspections according to service schedules.

Provide technical support to clients and advise on optimal pump operation.

Prepare detailed service reports and documentation for each job.

Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in good working condition.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on-site.

Travel to customer sites as required (local, regional, or international).

Support the sales team with technical input and customer feedback where needed.

Requirements:


• Qualifications:

Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering.


• Experience:

2+ years of experience in pump servicing, repair, or installation.

Experience with various pump types and manufacturers is an advantage.

Familiarity with motors, seals, bearings, and hydraulic systems.


• Skills:

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.

Basic knowledge of electrical systems and controls.

Good communication and customer service skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


• Other Requirements:

Willingness to travel and work overtime or on-call if required.

Physically fit and working in confined spaces or adverse environments.
