Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Facade Designer to join our team and lead the delivery of innovative and high-performance building envelopes. In this pivotal role, you will leverage advanced design tools and building science expertise to shape outstanding facades, supervise a team of talented designers, and ensure technical excellence from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the design, development, and documentation of façade systems including curtain wall and rainscreen assemblies in compliance with CWCT standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate and mentor a multidisciplinary team, reviewing their work and providing expert guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Drive the integration of waterproofing, passive house principles, and advanced building science into all facade designs.
  • Engage proactively with stakeholders, consultants, and contractors to ensure design intent is communicated clearly and project objectives are achieved.
  • Oversee prototyping and testing activities to validate design performance and compliance.
  • Champion best practices in design documentation, parametric design, regulatory compliance, and innovative problem solving.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven expertise in facade design including curtain wall and rainscreen systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM modeling software.
  • Strong foundation in building science, waterproofing, and regulatory standards such as CWCT and Passive House.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with ability to clearly convey complex ideas to team members and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing design teams, mentoring junior staff, and maintaining high quality standards.
  • Outstanding problem-solving abilities and a collaborative approach to multidisciplinary teamwork.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience implementing parametric design methodologies in façade projects.
  • Hands-on involvement in prototyping, mock-ups, and testing of building envelope systems.
  • Relevant certifications in façade engineering or sustainability (e.g., Certified Passive House Designer).
