About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior General Ledger Accountant with a strong IFRS background
to manage the accounting operations for one of our clients. This is a fully
remote
position. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in
IFRS-compliant financial reporting
, month-end and year-end closings, and coordination with external auditors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and manage the general ledger and all related accounts.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes in compliance with
IFRS
. - Prepare and analyze financial statements according to IFRS standards.
- Conduct regular account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Collaborate with external auditors and provide all necessary documentation.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial planning reports.
- Support other departments with financial data and analysis as needed.
- Identify and implement process improvements to optimize financial operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 7–10+ years of hands-on accounting experience, including general ledger management.
- IFRS diploma – mandatory
. - Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and best practices.
- Experience dealing with external auditors and preparing audit-ready reports.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and meet tight deadlines.
