Aviary is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accountant to join our growing Invoicing team. This role offers a unique opportunity for an ambitious individual.

Job responsibilities:

As a senior Accountant, you will be responsible for the following:

  1. Cash Management

  2. Handle and monitor the 
    Head Office petty cash
     including all receipts, payments, and daily reconciliations.

  3. Prepare and submit daily/weekly cash reports to management.

  4. Stations' Advances & Settlements

  5. Review and record 
    stations' cash advances
     and expense settlements.

  6. Ensure that all supporting documents are accurate, valid, and comply with company policies.

  7. Follow up on outstanding advances and reconcile balances on a regular basis.

  8. Inventory & Stock Movements

  9. Record and track 
    inventory units' movements
     between stores, stations, and consumption.

  10. Verify stock records against physical counts and prepare adjustment entries when necessary.

  11. Maintain updated and accurate inventory registers.

  12. Banking & General Ledger

  13. Participate in maintaining and reconciling 
    bank accounts
    , including deposits, withdrawals, and transfers.

  14. Assist in recording and reconciling 
    general ledger accounts
     to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  15. Support in handling 
    suppliers' accounts
    , including invoice matching, payments, and reconciliations.

  16. Backup Support

  17. Act as a 
    Station Accountant replacement
     when required to ensure smooth continuation of operations

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a fast-paced or service-oriented industry.
  • Proven expertise in financial reporting, general ledger management, and month-end/year-end close processes.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS) and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in work.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in an on-site environment.

-Location: Head Office-Sheraton Buildings District

-Days off: Saturday& Friday
