About the job

The Technical Office Engineer will oversee all technical and engineering activities on the project, including shop drawings, quantity surveying, and BOQ preparation. He will ensure the accuracy, quality, and compliance of all technical documentation with project specifications, codes, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage the technical office team including engineers, draftsmen, and quantity surveyors.
  • Review and approve
    shop drawings
    ,
    as-built drawings
    , and
    technical submittals
    before submission to the consultant.
  • Coordinate with the site team to ensure technical support during execution.
  • Prepare, review, and verify
    BOQs
    and
    quantities take-off
    for all civil and architectural works.
  • Ensure compliance with
    design specifications, standards, and project requirements
    .
  • Review and manage
    material submittals
    and
    method statements
    .
  • Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve technical issues.
  • Follow up on project progress and provide periodic reports to the Project Manager.
  • Control and maintain updated project drawings and documentation.
  • Participate in value engineering and cost control discussions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Architecture Engineering.
  • Minimum 3
    years of experience
    , in large-scale construction projects.
  • Strong experience in
    shop drawings, QS, and BOQ preparation
    .
  • Excellent knowledge of
    AutoCAD
    ,
    Revit (preferred)
    , and
    MS Office
    .
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to relocate outside Cairo (Red Sea)
