Role Purpose

The Senior Cost Controller Accountant is responsible for planning, developing, controlling, and forecasting project and operational costs to ensure effective budget management. The role aims to minimize deviations from approved budgets while ensuring accurate cost tracking and timely financial reporting across all brands and operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze cost data from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure accurate tracking of material and service costs.
  • Monitor budgets to ensure expenditures remain within approved limits and identify potential cost overruns.
  • Establish, maintain, and update a comprehensive inventory cost database for all restaurants, including accurate pricing and stock movement.
  • Review monthly financial closings across all brands to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with financial standards.
  • Track and report changes in pricing and assess their impact on brand and operational costs.
  • Conduct monthly and year-over-year cost and expense comparisons as requested by head office.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a major in Finance or Accounting.
  • 3 to 5 years
    of solid experience in a cost controller or cost analyst role.

Skills

  • Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to perform complex financial analysis and cost modeling.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.
