We're seeking a skilled Magento 2 Backend Developer to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will build high-quality backend features, enhance platform performance, and ensure the stability of our Magento-based systems. Success in this position means delivering reliable, scalable solutions, contributing to architectural decisions, and collaborating effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.

Responsibilities

Develop, enhance, and maintain custom Magento 2 modules and extensions.

Integrate third-party APIs and external services into Magento systems.

Apply Magento best practices when working with DI, Plugins, Observers, Cron Jobs, EAV, and GraphQL.

Diagnose and resolve complex performance and scalability issues.

Contribute to system architecture planning for medium and large-scale projects.

Participate in code reviews, ensuring clean, maintainable, and secure code.

Mentor junior developers and support team knowledge-sharing.

Work with Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-based deployment environments.

Qualifications

3–5+ years of hands-on experience working with Magento 2.

Strong understanding of Magento architecture, including EAV and extension development.

Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, GraphQL, and an understanding of JavaScript, HTML/CSS.

Demonstrated ability to build custom Magento 2 modules from scratch.

Experience implementing DI, plugins, observers, and events.

Solid skills in API integration and backend performance optimization.

Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and Magento CLI.

Experience with high-traffic or scalable Magento environments is a plus.

Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, DigitalOcean) is beneficial but not required.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a collaborative mindset.
