Job Summary

The New Product Development professional is responsible for managing the end-to-end development of new products—from idea generation and market research to launch and post-launch evaluation. This role works cross-functionally to ensure products meet consumer needs, align with brand strategy, and are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate innovative product ideas based on market trends, consumer insights, and brand strategy
  • Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and feasibility studies
  • Develop product concepts, formulations, specifications, and packaging briefs
  • Coordinate with R&D, Quality, Procurement, Packaging, Marketing, and Production teams
  • Manage product development timelines using stage-gate or similar processes
  • Source and evaluate raw materials, suppliers, and packaging options
  • Oversee product testing, trials, and quality validations
  • Prepare costings, margins, and pricing recommendations
  • Support regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Lead product launch execution in collaboration with marketing and sales teams
  • Monitor post-launch performance and recommend improvements or renovations

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Food Science, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Engineering, or related field
  • 2–6+ years of experience in New Product Development (experience varies by level)
  • Strong understanding of product lifecycle management
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of market research and consumer insight tools
