Role Description

This is a
full-time, on-site position
based in
Cairo, Egypt
.

We are looking for a
Junior WordPress & Shopify Developer
to support our web and creative teams in maintaining and improving client websites.

The role involves daily website updates, layout improvements, and light front-end adjustments while ensuring stable performance and responsive design.

The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of WordPress fundamentals, familiarity with Shopify, and basic front-end development skills. You should be detail-oriented, dependable, and confident using both code and modern tools — including AI — to troubleshoot and optimize efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update
    WordPress
    and
    Shopify
    websites, ensuring stability, responsiveness, and accuracy.
  • Add, edit, and organize content such as pages, products, and visuals.
  • Apply layout and style changes using
    HTML and CSS
    within WordPress or Shopify themes.
  • Manage plugins, apps, and updates to maintain site performance.
  • Test and troubleshoot functionality and visual consistency across devices and browsers.
  • Collaborate with design and marketing teams to implement website updates.
  • Use AI-assisted tools for debugging, research, and workflow optimization.

Must-have Qualifications

  • Practical knowledge of
    WordPress
    themes, plugins, and CMS structure.
  • Basic understanding of
    HTML, CSS
    , and responsive web design.
  • Ability to follow structured workflows and manage multiple projects efficiently.
  • 0–2 years
    of experience in WordPress or Shopify development.
  • Must be
    based in or able to commute to Cairo, Egypt
    .

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with
    WooCommerce
    or
    Shopify
    e-commerce systems.
  • Strong attention to detail with a methodical, organized work style.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in
    Computer Science, Information Technology
    , or a related field.
  • Interest in using
    AI or automation tools
    to improve efficiency and learning.
